Branch & Forest Necklace
The concepts for the Branch & Forest necklaces were created during a walk through the park in the fall of 2011. The beauty of the Midwest is at its peak in both the fall and spring. The landscape begins to transform from the green hues of summer and brown hues of winter to the bold, vibrant pops of color that emerge in both fall and spring. This is the idea that we wanted to capture with the Forest and the Branch necklaces.
With this new series we also wanted to create a bolder graphic or iconic statement than what you normally find in jewelry by having an over-sized pendant at five inches wide. Laser cut wood or plastic with hand wrapped embroidery floss in multiple colors. Hangs on a sterling silver 16” chain with sterling silver lobster clasp. Comes in a nifty little box for protection.
Wholesale
This is also the first product beyond canvas prints that EVRT Studio is offering for wholesale, which is very exciting for us. For more information please contact us through the info page.
Lori & I are really excited to finally launch these, which have been in the works for the past 5 months!
Designer Feature: Debbie Powell
An Illustrator and hand letterer, Debbie’s work really shows the handmade quality. I especially love her pattern and surface work like the pattern on the lampshade (which I can’t find available anywhere!). There really isn’t anything on her site that isn’t worth looking at. And she follows after my own heart with being multidisciplinary instead of sticking to only one type of creation.
Atomic Ranch: Midcentury Interiors
Things have been busy over here at the EVRT house, preparing for the launch of our first necklaces, but also because we are getting close to buying our second home! And of course it will be a Midcentury Ranch.
This book falls right in line with all of the inspiration we are drawing from to renovate our next home. As a big fan of the Atomic Ranch magazine, how can I resist a hardcover book from the same folks? It looks pretty amazing.

You can pick it up on Amazon for $26.
Vacationer / Good As New
This song is on constant repeat. A very up-beat fun song that feels spring/summer-ish! The entire “Gone” album is really good.
I got the nicest email and photo from a customer in Paris yesterday. It absolutely made my week!
“I have just received the Lori bracelet and I’m delighted ! Now you have one of your creations facing the Eiffel Tower in Paris.”
audioJar by Sarah Pease
I see a DIY project in my very near future. I like this idea a lot, not only because it is a nice reuse of something unexpected, but this would actually give really great audio quality.
Re-Turned by Lars Beller Fjetland
Using wood that normally is trash, Lars reassembles the wood into blocks and then lathes these amazing birds. Currently in production.
Lars has some amazing other work as well, and you should stop by his site.
Bird Houses by George Nelson
Designed for the Howard Miller company.
Carousel Weather Vane by George Nelson
Early in Mr. Nelson’s career he did extensive work designing products for the Howard Miller company (a brother company to Herman Miller), many of which were never distributed widely so to most of us don’t even exist. The products you are familiar with are his well known clock designs.
This weather vane was one of the products he designed, and is extremely rare. One of those products you dream about owning, but that will never be the case unless you have the money to bid in a Wright auction. It is absolutely stunning.
In The Shop!
The Lori Bracelet is officially back in stock! There are 54 available, and this is the last batch I will be making so make sure you grab one while you can.
