Earth Day
A look at my vegetable garden this year. Things are growing great so far! If you love to cook, or at the very least eat great food, there isn’t much better than growing your own fresh vegetables. I hope this is a trend that is coming back to people. You don’t need much room to do it, and it is super easy and cheap.
Here is something you may not have known: Scallions (green onions) and regular white onions are the exact same plant. You get one or the other depending upon the planting depth. Plant your onion bulbs extra deep for Scallions. I prefer to use the Candy variety for them, but there are many different kinds.
There are far more beans than pictured, all the seeds haven’t come up yet. And there is a long row of Basil planted on the far right side which isn’t pictured. Three different types of tomatoes: Grape, Roma & Better Boys. I still have to get a trellis for my Cucumber. I love Radishes if you can’t tell, and there are two types planted: White Asian and French Breakfast.
I hope you are out enjoying something to do with this planet today. Although here we are expecting heavy rain.
