Aerial Photos

A long while ago I mentioned taking photos of the beautiful landscapes during my flight from Miami to Chicago. I sort of forgot about them, but here they finally are. I spent a lot of time on Google maps actually trying to identify some of the locations, which was pretty difficult.

Ok, so the first one is a little fib. This is actually flying into Miami. But I didn’t want to leave it out.

There are some crazy river channels and Sounds just south of Savannah, GA.

Savannah, GA. I need to go there.

Here is where it gets tough to figure out where we went, but I know we basically flew north to Charlotte, NC and turned to take a straight line to Chicago. I believe this is the Pisgah National Forest area just before crossing over to Tennessee.

This is Watauga Lake, on the far East side of Tennessee in the Cherokee National Forest. Do a quick image search: it looks pretty amazing. I need to put this on my list of places to go.

It took me forever to figure the stadium in the photo. But it is the Winston Cup Speedway in Bristol, TN.

I’m guessing this is somewhere around Louisville, KY.

Indiana fields.

The kicker was flying into Chicago and getting to see this. I’ve flown into Chicago a lot, but always at night, or always into Midway. I’ve never had the chance to see this. And I didn’t think I would since it was quickly approaching night fall. So this was a tough shot to take and I was shocked it didn’t come out blurry.
I hope you enjoyed them.
