At Home
I was briefly in my hometown this past Friday, and took the opportunity to take some night photos. I was excited because I had my tripod with me, camera, and shutter release remote: which meant I was going to do what I have always wanted to do, and take some star trail shots over my parents farm.
Only problem was, once I got there and the sun went down, it was a full moon. You can’t really do star trails with a full moon, but I took a few shots anyway.
The orange light cast is from the light on my father’s garage. The strange light streaks you are seeing are lightning bugs. You can see a few stars coming through, but it would have been so many more without the full moon.
