John Entenza House by Harwell H. Harris
Small living. 850 sq ft from 1937, but such a great little concept house. Apparently this house was the birth place for the Case Study Program.

What drives me to be an artist, to make the work I do and I think that a large part of being an artist is being delusional. You have to be totally delusional and slightly narcissistic. You have to be delusional to think that you’re going to think up stuff and people are going to be interested in it.
Overlap Installation
These large wooden ‘drips’ were part of an installation by SOFTlab for the Overlap show at the Elga Wimmer gallery in Chelsea, in fall of 2009. They were to accompany the Shizuku video. You can see the video and more photos by clicking through.
These things are amazing and inspiring…..
Tree Rings
A new print up in the shop this morning. Hand illustration depicting the rings of a 50 year old tree. 12” square print on #100 True White Speckletone French Paper.
$15
Pottery
Many people might not be that excited about visiting China, but when I got the chance to go I was thrilled. I really want to go back. This was taken about 4 years ago now, in the studio of an Art School in Hangzhou. There were all kinds of interesting pottery pieces, and it was really nice to see the students working.
Right next to this studio was a famous calligrapher’s studio. We went in, and I can’t even tell you how amazing it was. I asked how much one of the artist’s prints were, and they just looked at me and smiled. I also so a man creating a life size heard of running bulls out of bronze for a hotel lobby.
Snow Ski
Done and in the shop. Not much has changed since the previous version you saw, except some added subtle texture. I fooled around with adding ski trails, but they didn’t look right, so I just kept it simple instead.
Anyway, click through to buy it from my shop. Stay tuned for more prints soon to come!
