Polaboy by Lightboys
Formed by Jirko Bannas & Oliver Seltmann to reinvent how photographs are displayed. Polaboy is just one of a few of their amazing ideas.
Designed to be an ultra thin (only 20mm) backlit (LED) Polaroid frame with a custom picked fabric covered power cord. You can also send them a Polaroid to be scanned or a digital file. The lights are hand made in Germany.
This would immediately go on my “to buy” list except it is $3050 (2400 EUR). Exclusively available here.

Blur vase by Big Game
A unique idea putting all of the flowers inside of the vase.

Chalkboard Concept
Since the Lori Bracelet is very near to being ready for sale, I’ve already started thinking about future products.
I’m currently prototyping a minimal chalkboard that is white instead of the usual black, on Birch plywood with colored chalk. Working on the samples now and hopefully pricing will allow it to be feasible.
Nest Learning Thermostat from Nest Labs
There is a good chance if you have read any Tech news in the last 24 hours you have already seen this. It is the hottest topic in tech at the moment. Tony Fadell who previously worked for Apple and helped design the technology behind the iPod & iPhone has started a new venture called Nest Labs. Their first project is a revolutionary thermostat.
Nest actually learns your behavior patterns after interacting with it for a couple of days. The screen also turns on when you walk up to it. And most importantly, it helps to conserve energy. All this while looking stunning and being extremely easy to use: no more programming. Read the full Wired article here.

Notchless Tape Dispenser by Mamoru Yasukuni
A minimally designed tape dispenser with a very functional purpose. Actually several. But the major one being the new blade technology (which is patented) that keeps the tape from tearing.

Suit Lamp by Oriol Llahona for AlmaLight
Inspired by jacket lapels.

Spun Lamp by Evie Group
Inspired by the classic wooden top. I love the shape: elegant yet playful. It looks great as a pendant lamp, but really becomes interesting when set on a table or floor using a rubber base to hold it in place.

Envelope Bag iPad Case by Megawing
Regardless of the quirky design, this is perfect for the iPad, I love the look & materials used: plus that removable divider is slick. Currently out of stock, but check back often with Molla Space. $60

Tint Lamp by Magnus Petterson
Such a unique shape and excellent blend of materials: warm hand blown glass shade with a black concrete base. He also makes hand cast desk accessories.
Ricotta Milk Pot by Baum Kuchen
Such a sleek and minimal designed pot made by this Japanese company. The contrast of the white ceramic with the dark wood handle is fantastic. You can pre-order the pot by clicking through.
